PAINT YOUR OWN BOOMERANG WORKSHOP

Participants have the opportunity to paint their own 45cm boomerang with the assistance and tuition of a local Kuku Yalanji artist – Binna.

Paint your own boomerang - All paints and brushes supplied.

 

What is involved:

A 1 hour “PAINT YOUR OWN BOOMERANG WORKSHOP” includes:

~   An introductory story about the boomerang, its origins and an introduction on how to throw the boomerang.

~   Guidance in selecting a boomerang for each participant

~   A range of paints and brushes to create your own individual style on your new boomerang

~   On going tuition during the lesson by our aboriginal artist in residence – Binna

~   A lesson in throwing the boomerang

~   The opportunity to have your new master piece post packed home (Extra charges apply)

 

A MAXIMUM OF 10 PEOPLE PER LESSON WILL BE CATERED FOR.

 

Who is it suitable for:

The boomerang painting workshop is suitable for all ages including children.

Families are especially catered for as are small tour groups.

No previous art experience is required at all.

All workshops are held at Janbal Gallery:

5 Johnston Road, Mossman

On the road to Mossman Gorge – Opposite the Mossman Bowls Club

 

When are they held:

Tuesday to Saturday – 10am to 5pm

Sunday and Monday by appointment

Actual times are confirmed at the time of booking

 

How much does it cost:

Workshop charges are:     $48.00 - PER PERSON

                                         $180.00 - PER FAMILY – 2A + 2C
